A U.S. Senator and four members of the House of Representatives have introduced the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act of 2013 to regulate/prohibit substances, methods, and treatments that can be used in racing.

DR. RAMEY NOTES: The new bill would set up a new federal agency, which is not necessarily a great thing, but I’m not sure what else could be proposed, assuming that one cares about the drugs-in-performance-horses issue. It will be interesting to see what happens.
